Harvest Table

Harvest Table is a seasonal dining room on Gertrude Street, Fitzroy, where every plate is built from 100% Victorian produce. Chef Mia Chen, formerly of Brae, cooks a five-course tasting menu at dinner and a shorter menu at lunch, changing both as the season and our growers dictate. The dairy comes from a single farm in Gippsland, the vegetables from a market garden in Daylesford, and the fish is line-caught off the Bellarine Peninsula and landed the same morning.

There is no foam, no theatre, and no menu that pretends winter is summer. We name our suppliers because the food belongs to the people who grow it, and because it holds us accountable for what reaches the pass. Dinner runs Tuesday to Saturday from 6pm; lunch runs Friday to Sunday from noon. Bookings are recommended, and the kitchen is happy to accommodate dietaries given notice.

86 Gertrude Street, Fitzroy

Every ingredient on this menu is Victorian. The dairy comes from a single farm in Gippsland. The vegetables arrive twice a week from a market garden in Daylesford. The fish is line-caught off the Bellarine Peninsula, landed that morning. We name our suppliers because they deserve it, and because it holds us accountable. The menu changes when the produce changes. Not on a schedule, but when the Warragul turnips finish or the Yarra Valley quinces finally come in.
